On the graphics side, GPU/HW now uses multi-threaded shader compilation and multi-threaded pipeline compilation. The shader cache has moved to ObjectArchive. There is a new 'Filter Framebuffer Uploads' advanced option, additional texture filters, and a Disable Upscaled Direct Textures option, which GameDB turns on for Fear Effect. Background texture filtering is now enabled for more games. Fixes include a missing mask-or application on texture fallback and background replacements that disappeared after TC was toggled off.
Several changes target game and disc behaviour. The SPU code has been reworked, with changes to Gaussian interpolation, ADPCM decoding and capture buffer writes. The MDEC no longer clears its output FIFO when a new command arrives, and scanline sync before vertical_display_start is fixed. CDROM has a fix for a possibly incorrect restart track during playback. CDImageMemory, CDImagePPF and CDImageCHD now read sectors in the correct format or size. GameDB turns off auto analog for Trap Gunner and Khamrai, and adds traits for Spyro x Sparx.
FullscreenUI gains a 'Toggle Pause Menu' hotkey, and the cheats, achievements and leaderboards hotkeys now toggle. The change disc menu no longer gets stuck in some scenarios. Achievements have fixes for options that might not update live and for a deadlock when leaderboard trackers are disabled. The per-game achievement notification duration sliders are fixed as well.
The Qt debugger can select multiple instructions and remembers its window state. On Linux, the optimal frame pacing setting is now obeyed. A save state header no longer gets the wrong title copied into it. Vulkan now uses timeline semaphores when available, and D3D11, OpenGL and Vulkan each have device fixes.
