Where things go

Texture packs

Texture packs folders for Dolphin
OSPath
WindowsAppData\Roaming\Dolphin Emulator\Load\Textures\<GAMEID>\
Linux~/.local/share/dolphin-emu/Load/Textures/<GAMEID>/
macOS~/Library/Application Support/Dolphin/Load/Textures/<GAMEID>/

Put the pack's folder, named by the game ID, inside Load, Textures in Dolphin's user folder (File, Open User Folder). Then turn on Load Custom Textures under Graphics, Advanced. Windows installs made before 2022 keep the user folder in Documents\Dolphin Emulator; a portable install keeps it in a User folder beside the Dolphin executable.

Patches

Patches folders for Dolphin
OSPath
WindowsAppData\Roaming\Dolphin Emulator\Load\GraphicMods\<MOD>\
Linux~/.local/share/dolphin-emu/Load/GraphicMods/<MOD>/
macOS~/Library/Application Support/Dolphin/Load/GraphicMods/<MOD>/

Graphics mods go in their own folder under Load, GraphicMods, with a metadata.json and a text file named by the game ID. Turn on Enable Graphics Mods under Graphics, Advanced, then pick the mod on the Graphics Mods tab of the game's properties.

Built-in enhancements

The widescreen, 60 fps and fix patches that ship inside Dolphin are listed on each game's page, marked as built in, with the setting that turns them on. They need no download.
